    Default Change Mailman Return Path

I use an email to text messaging service that will only work if the email comes from a specific return path.

Currently I have a mailman list sms@mydomain.com but when I send email to the list, the return path in the headers is "Return-Path: <sms-bounces@mydomain.com>" I want to figure out how to remove the "-bounces".

I tried editing mm_cfg.py but it didn't seem to do anything.

I feel like this should be doable. I was able to do this when I used Majordomo lists.

    Thanks very much in advance.

Default Re: Change Mailman Return Path

Have you tried to instead modify the various options in the administrative interface for the "General Options" section? These options specifically:

Should any existing Reply-To: header found in the original message be stripped? If so, this will be done regardless of whether an explict Reply-To: header is added by Mailman or not. >> Yes No

Where are replies to list messages directed? Poster is strongly recommended for most mailing lists.
(Details for reply_goes_to_list) >> Poster This list Explicit address

    Explicit Reply-To: header. >>
