    Default Change MX-Entries

    Hello community

I need some Ideas and Inputs...

    case:
    1. at this time, all DNS-Records normally show's to one Server for E-Mail, Webhosting, FTP and so on
    2. some of our customers have own MX-Records

    target:
    1. all MX-Records from all Addon/Parked/Subdomains (some thousands...) should be changed to an external Mailserver
    2. except they set own (not equal to DNS-Entryname)

Does anyone have an Idea how I can filter, change and apply this?

    Hi,

If you want to find out those DNS zone files that are not using external MX and want to change their MX afterwards to some external MX, then you can write some sort of bash script to do this job for you. The question here is if you have access to the DNS zone files or not via shell. Not sure if you have root access to the server where you are managing the DNS for all those domains.

Yes, I've Root-Access on the Server...

How do you think could this Shell-Script looking? Because, the MX-Entry is dynamic, i.e. domain.com has an MX for 0 domain.com.
