Changed account username and now databases locked

I changed the username on one of my accounts and now all the databases associated to this account are "in use". They cannot be modified or deleted. How can I delete them?

I went into phpMyAdmin and set the privileges of the database to the new username and root but I still cannot edit or delete the databases or any tables within.

If I try delete a table or the database itself I get "#1051 - Unknown table 'categories' ". IF I am deleting the database it loops through all the tables.

If I try to edit any table within the database I get "#1030 - Got error 1 from storage engine"

WHM version 11.15.0
cPanel version 11.18.3

Can anyone point me in the right direction to delete these databases?

I would try the following:
1. Login to the server through ssh
2. Stop the database
3. Open the mysql client (issue the command mysql )
4. Connect to the database you want to drop (connect dbname )
5. Drop one by one every table ( drop table tblname )
6. check which one causes the problem and report us back the exact error message.

How do I stop a specific database? I know how stop mysql but of course if I did that I wouldn't be able to access the mysql command.
