Changing A File In File Manager Deleted Contents

I was helping my client with one of his sites, and he was changing the config file to use a different password to access mysql. However when he clicked on saved.. Cpanel saved the file.. but all the contents are missing. Its a empty file.


what would cause this?

I found out the issue. The clients account was over quota.. so saving the file in filemanager caused the file to be saved as a blank file.
