    Default Changing public_html permissions

    Hi Everyone,
I have a helpdesk system that I run and so for a single account the public_html directory has to be chmodded to allow any user to execute scripts in the directory.

I have repeatedly run chmod a+x public_html and the scripts work for a couple of days however something I am guessing in cPanel is causing the directory to lose that custom permission every day or so.

Does anyone know what might be causing this and how to stop it?
    Cheers
    Stuart

Why dont you run it inside a folder with the permission you want and redirect "/" to the folder you created ? This way you wont brake cPanel permissions.

One nasty workaround would be setting up a crontab for every X hours changing permission of public_html back to what you want for that specific account
