Changing username for an email account?

How can I change the username of an email account ? Is it possible ? Please help.

Hi majoosh

You cant change the username of the mail account.

you can modify the accounts through cpanel. i

Select the mail option in cpanel.

Select add/remove/manage account.

There you can change the quota, password etc........

It is possible if you want to change a virtual mail account by manipulating the files in /home/accountname/etc/domain.com/ and the directories in /home/accountname/mail/, however it's simpler to retrieve any email in the existing account, then remove it and then add your preferred account name.
