chattr: Inappropriate ioctl for device while reading flags o

Have just recently installed cpanel to a new mandrake 8.1 machine.
Whenever I try to get frontpage going and run any of the inifpsuexec scripts I get the following error.
chattr: Inappropriate ioctl for device while reading flags on _vti_bin/fpexe
The file size changes and the permissions are set correctly as per other posts.
reiserfs is being used.
Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
