Default Checking and Repairing System Package Setup

I'm working through a pstree related issue on one of my systems and have hit a speedump at the cpanel update logs:

Checking and Repairing System Package Setup......Done

Whatever cpanel script is responsible for writing that line may be the culprit I am looking for. I am greatly appreciative to anyone who can save me allot of reverse engineering by anwering the following questions:

Does cpanel/WHM provide it's own version of pstree ?

if yes - Where can I find a hash of this file in it's known good state? or the file source itself within my cpanel/WHM installation ?

if no - Can you point me towards the script on my system that's responsible for that log entry ?

    thanks !
    Bill
