    Hope it's OK if I tag onto this thread, I'm having the same problem, only on v 10.9.1.

    Code:

    I've been getting the same thing in the upcp email for the last 3 nights. I knew something was wrong when the upcp email was only 4kb. It's normally 10kb.

    From /scripts/cPScript/cPCPAN.pm line 54 :
    Code:
         52     if ((stat($self->{'basedir'} . '/.cpcpan/modules.versions'))[9] + 86400 < time()
         53         || (stat($self->{'basedir'} . '/.cpcpan/modules.versions'))[7] == 0) {
         54         die 'Unable to fetch CPAN module version list from http://cpan.cpanel.net/cPCPAN/modules.versions';
    Seems to be a CPAN problem...

    From the command line, try:

    Code:
    cpan -i XML::LibXML
    If it can't download the module, then your CPAN mirror list is bad.

    Try moving /root/.cpcpan out of the way:

    Code:

    Also, which libxml versions are installed on your system?

    Code:
    rpm -q libxml
    rpm -q libxml2

    Is there a reason that Perl needs to be updated manually? Isn't this part of something that WHM/Cpanel should do on it's own? Forgive me if I am wrong.

    No. Perl, like Apache, is something that is better initiated and monitored manually. If an upgrade of Perl dies, it could cause havoc on your server.

    Perl modules, from CPAN, are a different matter and are handled automatically as much as possible.

    I've been having this problem for a while Tried everything in this thread to no avail. Then caught glimpse of an error message I hadn't previously seen when running /usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkperlmodules.

    The Module::Build Version was out of date.

    try
    Code:
    cpan -i Module::Build
    Fixed all my problems, hope it fixes yours to.

    It was worth a try, but no cpan-love. The Module::Build seemed to install fine, but on re-running the checkperlmodules command, same old "line 54" error.

    I haven't seen anyone have this problem with v11, so it may be time to do the upgrade.

    Thanks for the reply!
