I have searched this forum and read every post I can find on this problem but have not found an answer.
I have just set up my server and am getting internal server errors on directories and on some php files that have permissions of 777. So, I changed the permissions to 755 and MOST of the problems went away. However, I still have one domain that is giving errors even after setting the permissions to 755.
Before I moved this site to my new server 777 permissions never caused a problem. So, my question is this. Is there a file in the root somewhere that I can modify to allow directories to have permissions set to 777? It seems to me that there should be a way to change the max allowable chmod setting. Any help would be appreciated.
