.church extension trouble.

I have lakeshore.church registered, and the nameservers correctly assigned. I can type the url in where I am now and the correct page will display. However, in some/most locations I get an error as though lakeshore.church isn't pointed at anything. Does the .church extension have anything to do with this? What would I need to change to make it work?

Where did the domain name come from?

I wasn't aware of .church being a valid domain name extenion.

.net domains. Not for everyone I don't think.

Wow, sorry you bought into the whole new.net ripoff. They are not, and probably never will be, legit Top Level Domains. In order for people to even be able to SEE new.net domains, they have to alter their system and browser. Not exactly user-friendly if you ask me.

Those "domain names" are only useful if you want to set up your own private network.

I doubt those extensions will ever become legit, and if they do, anything "registered" through them will be meaningless because they won't be the official registrar for them.
