CLAMAV Connection --> Virus Scanning ZIP FILES

I have spent the last few weeks searching the forums hoping someone would have the answer ... but no luck.

Clamav as a standalone appears to be able to scan zip files ... but this is not the case with the built-in version included with CPANEL.

There must be some way to universally configure this as the SOBER virus, which is being passed via zip files attached to e-mails, seems to get through untouched. This is unacceptable.

Please do not reply to this with the suggestion that we switch to mail scanner etc ... We have tried that solution in the past, and even after having several technical experts in the field tinker with our server, mail scanner caused our server to overload at least once every two weeks if not more.

Same issue, but since clam is not blocking zip files by default, it cannot scan for the virus. We have now decided to block zips for the time being and if anyone ask why, you have a very good reason for doing so. Just ask your users to FTP the files for retrival if needed.
