    Default Cleanup of Vhosts

I am trying to do a simple redirection from an old subdomain to a new domain, i.e., dom.domain.com to dom.newdomain.com. (Have about 20 to do.) I cannot seem to do it anywhere (redirect, dns cname, etc) because the old vhsost files exist and the sever keeps giving a the no website configured at this address.

I see lots of old vhost entries for non-existent domains. Is there a way other than manually to clean all that up? I see some kill scripts, but none that seem to say they do a complete cleanup.

If the accounts have been terminated from WHM then you might be able to use /scripts/rebuildhttpdconf which will remake the httpd.conf and all vhosts for the current accounts. Be aware I had a major issue with this script when I used it to cleanup my vhosts, it users the vhost IP of the resolved IP of the domain, in my case some of my clients have their main domain resolving elsewhere than the server which can break the www. domain.

Nope. Did nothing. Lots of old subdomains all over and cannot redirect them now.
