Default client run JAVA application from regular shell

I have a client that would like to run a java application through SSH/Cron.
Java 2 SDK, 1.4.2 is installed on the server but what do I type when I wanna
    have Java doing something ?

If I'm root I can type "java" and it starts.
In regular Shell for the client, "java" turns out as "command not found."

How can my client be able to use java ?

    Thanks!

    Default

To access Java directly, you could use the full path to the Java binary /usr/bin/java /usr/local/jdk2/... etc

or just use export for your environment

    export JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/jdk or /path/to/your/java

    For example.

    Default ulimit restrictions

From personal experience I've found that the default ulimit restrictions that are set in cpanel's environment will not allow enough memory for the JVM to start up in a regular user's shell.

Just something to watch out for.
