I've got my instance of cPanel running on a very unstable server right now (crashes weekly), and I'd like to completely move it over to a new machine so I can phase out the old one. This means moving DNS/mySql/httpd/mail/config files/user accounts; pretty much everything. I was wondering what the best way to do this was? Which files/partitions need to be moved? Any order? I think there used to be a how-to on this, but I couldn't find it.
Here's a little more on my environment:
Currently running:
WHM 9.4.0 cPanel 9.4.1-R64
RedHat 9 - WHM X v3.1.0
Old machine:
Celeron 333
64MB Ram
200GB IDE drive
-NS1 & NS2
-Exim mail
-httpd
-mysql
-20 user accounts
-ssl certs for some accounts
New Machine:
Dual PIII
2GB Ram
SCSI RAID 5 (170GB partition)
I'm really hoping there's a step-by-step guide for what I need to do.
Any & all comments/suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean
