I've never had a problem with Comodo, so I would say this is just another reason to stay with them.
Anyone running cpanel on trusix with good results yet? They have a decent price and the product is quite attractive.
I have Comodo certs and they all give warning messages when trying to send e-mail with SMTP + SSLOriginally posted by squirrel

If you solved this issue could you please describe how?
Geotrust certs from EV1 don't seem to have this issue I am told.
Yeah, I have never had a problem with the geotrust

Comodo are well known spammers, tho i haven't seen any from them in a while ( might have learned a lesson or two ). Didn't the origonal trustix developers leave and start up a new distro? Can't remember the name, but it was supposed to be based on trustix and improved upon from what i remember hearing.

Never heard of spamming from them, geotrust is terrible just try getting a hold of them. I git ripped from them twice before learning my lesson.
Comodo was like a shining light after dealing with geotrust.
Also never had a problem with their email or ssl certs, I have even used there server wide certs with no problems.
Shoot they be one of the few companies that where pleasant besides cpanel of course.
I don't have a problem with either in general. But I have never had a support problem with Goetrust. In fact I got a call back in 10 minutes and a tech spent 30 minutes on the phone helping me fix a funny issue no one else knew how to fix.Originally posted by DWHS.net

Yah I figure no one person can ever know if a company is bad since it could just be their experiance.
I just happen to have a really bad one.![]()
Hmm. I have the exact opposite experience. I was never able to get a reply from Comodo. I had to threaten a chargeback to even get my refund. GeoTrust was my shining light. I guess they all suck.Originally posted by DWHS.net

As far as spam goes,
http://www.sslreview.com/index.html
documents (or did at one time) Comodo's spamming practices. They also list Comodo as unstable and warn that there could be serious disruption of their services should their reltionship with the root authority be impaired.
So did anyone get those Comodo/InstantSSL certs to work without any warning messages when sending mail with SMTP + SSL ?

I was spammed by them many months before WHT banned them.

I think that site is owned by another sll provider, I don' know who else would be motivated enough to point out company flaws like that, they made a hole directory for it : ]
Not surprised though if it's true but then how did they get the list. Anything possible through spam when presidential candidates spam millions now.
But I also think the whole spam thing is out of control, you should be able to knock on your competitors customers doors as long as it's in the public.
Sorry about the rest it's just griping...
WHT talk is probably the biggest scam on the web, they portray to be neutral for web hosting but really ban any competitors like comodo and other hosting companies for no reason. think about they resell with comodo's competition next step give comodo bad reputation, ban, edit forum posts, all to fuel their huge charade.
I just don't like lyre's and scam artists.

Actually, before Comodo started spamming the reviews were quite neutral. Ever since the spamming incident they have been harder on Comodo.Originally posted by DWHS.net

Not if their trusted root drops them...
