Converting an Addon domain to a normal account

I have a client that wants to change an Addon Domain account to a normal one.
This domain has email addresses, nameservers, databases,
etc. tied to it so I prefer to not delete and re-create.

Can this be done without re-creating e-mail, db. etc ?

Any help would be appreciated.

It can't be done, as far as I know. Best solution is to kill the old add-on and then "start over" with it as a new cpanel account.

Submit a feature request into the bugzilla system and in 2 years cpanel will have an "add-on upgrade utility" ready.

Last time I tried this, the best, worry-free way was to kill the addon
wait the next day, recreate the domain The detay dependis on dns replication/propagation issues/delays, I've had nothing but trouble with this feature. My only advice is "if you're sure it'll only be an addon, make it an addon" otherwise, make it its own account(it's not documented anywhere, but you can host an account[note: in pure dns terms, this is a subdomain, but it NOT a cpanel subdomain, but an actual account]) in this format:
userid.domain.com
using username userid with the data in /home/userid
