Dear All,
I have installed the CentOS-5.4-x86_64-cPanel on VM machine and when machine goes up and i have logon through root. It gives me the following error.

Could not reach httpupdate.cpanel.net, aborting installation. Please resolve this issue and reboot to proceed with installation.

I have disabled the iptables service and selinux. But still no luck. I am also could not access the internet. Other machine on the same network can access the internet. help is required.

Please check your /etc/resolv.conf file to ensure valid resolvers are used. You can use the following public resolvers if your the existing ones are not valid:

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

You should then consult with your data center or network provider if you are still unable to make external connections to httpupdate.cpanel.net.
