CP WHM configuration files

does anyone know where cpanel stores the whm and server configuration files. I need to view my old configuration setting since cp died on me and has forced me to do an OS reload.

where are the config files located

please "read" my post before commenting. i'm asking two different questions. one was location of config files other was copying across hard drives.
