Default Cpanel 11 Kernel & Additional question

First of all from what Im reading they are recommending fedora kernel 5 or 6 with cpanel 11

    I am currently running

    Kernel 2.6.12-1.1381_FC3 with cpanel 11

How would I go about upgrading to FC6 the simplest way
Ive never attempted to upgrade a kernel nor really familiar how

Could someone tell me how to do this safely
And if you dont think its safe could you recommend someplace who would do it cheaply

    NEXT QUESTION

I recentlly changed my main shared ip and moved all the domain to it they work correctly
I enable mod_userdir Protection where users could view ther domain via
    Example http://222.222.222.222/~accountname
Well for example I changed the main shared ip to example 333.333.333.333
The users can still only view there domain thius way by
    http://222.222.222.222/~accountname and cannot view by
http://333.333.333.333/~accountname how would i go about fixing this?
    any suggestions???

Personally I wouldn't use Fedora as a production environment, it's great for those who want the greatest and latest.

From FC3, you should be looking at having a complete reinstall, but with CentOS 4.x. if you really must run Fedora, then it'd need to be done by the datacentre.

If you had problems with centos and fedora worked then you need to re-evaluate your server hardware and configuration. RHEL/CentOS is a very stable OS for cpanel across a wide range of hardware provided you do a minimal install and then let cpanel install the additional libraries and binaries it needs. A complete or server install of RHEL/CentOS is very likely to cause problems with a cpanel install

Well ive decided to have the datacenter upgrade the kernel to fedora 5 or 6 any suggestions or pros/cons on which i should have them do
I know support for fedora 5 is ending but is anyone having any problems with fedora6 with cpanel 11

also noone responded to my second part of the question about when i changed my main ip
