In Stage 2 of the cPanel 11 release you will be able to easily run PHP 4 and 5 simultaneously via EasyApache.

Currently you can run MySQL 5 and PostgreSQL concurrently on cPanel (both 10 and 11).

    Hi,

Is it true that support for Tomcat is being deprecated from version 11 and onwards?

Tomcat support is now in EasyApache rather than as a separate plug-in and will continue to be a part of EA for the foreseeable future.

That is not wholly accurate. Tomcat exists as a BETA Plugin in cPanel 11 Stable, as it did (does) in cPanel 10. It is fully supported in Release, Current and EDGE when installed via EasyApache 3. Installing via EasyApache 3 will upgrade/convert the Plugin installation to the new, improved version. We are also investigating adding support for Tomcat 6. Sometime after EasyApache 3 reaches Stable, the Tomcat Plugin itself will be removed and everyone encouraged to use the installer integrated with EasyApache.

This though is beyond the scope of this thread. Please direct any further questions to a thread specific to Tomcat. Thank you.

If you are on Stage 2 then it is okay. If you are not on Stage 2 (even the latest STABLE build has not yet reached Stage 2), then this is not the case yet.

Release schedules are posted to http://www.cPanel.net/cpanel11
