cPanel bandwidth doesn't calculate correctly.

cPanel is not calculating the uploads of files to the server from accounts. I had a customer last week upload over 15Gigs but it only shows his monthly bandwidth is 30MB. Why does cPanel not log this for?

I don't think FTP is counted towards bandwidth. Only website traffic and maybe incoming email. There have been multiple people mention things like that.

Yeah. We had a client running a proxy site. He used 120GB in one day and was not automatically suspended by cPanel, because cPanel only monitors bandwidth usage on a few ports.

Ok, I have for the last month been trying to figure out why my cPanel bandwidth charts are way off what my ISP bandwidth charts are.

It seems my cPanel is not calculating Uploads to my server so for example, I had a user upload 10GB via FTP and his monthly bandwidth never calcuated it. THis is a HUGE issue. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Well, I don't think so. I was in WHM at the bandwidth usage page and it states:

This tool logs HTTP, FTP, SMTP, and POP3 traffic. This accounts for almost all traffic that a normal account will use.

Can someone from cPanel please help with this??

With regards to individual user accounts, a general rule of thumb is that bandwidth consumed by maintaining a website does not count against the account. For example, bandwidth consumed by using the cPanel interface and FTP uploads would not count against a user's bandwidth quota.

But isn't this possible to choose by the owner of the reseller? I have client's who transfer large amounts of data through ftp (and xfers). I would really love to have this monitored, because we are talking about a couple of hundred gb a month...

The ftp accounts are set up through cpanel, and the statement that it counts ftp traffic therefore isn't correct?

FTP Downloads are counted as far as I know. As for counting the bandwidth cPanel doesn't count, that is not customizable on a reseller level.
