Anybody use dedicated mail server?
I.e. 1 working server without mail and 1 more server especially for mail?
Is it even possible with cPanel?
Please anybody wants this to be explained (like me) post here.

Well, you can do it, but obviously users won't be able to get to their email on the web hosting server. From the hosting servers point of view, you just have to point the MX records for the domains to the mail server and removed the domains from /etc/localdomains and add them to /etc/remotedomains and that is it.
You'll then have to setup your mail server with some kind of web-based UI so that users can login to it and setup their POP3 accounts for them to retrieve their email from.

Yes, thank you.
You see: I have a webhosting cPanel server with high email load.
I'd like to move mail to another server for all current and future clients of this webhosting server.
This webhosting server will serve scripts, databases, ftp and so on.
Another one server wil lserver only mail.
Yes, I can point mail of all current and future clients automatically to another server, this is not so hard.
But I need to provide the way to manage emails for all the clients on mail server.
Additionally I need to provide way to automatically grant the access to mail server for all newly created accounts.
I though about cPanel on mail server. In this way I need to create 2 client accounts (on webhosting and on mail server) and just give user access to both cPanel URLs.
But this is the problem: I need to create, delete, modify accounts on 2 servers.
Is there any easier way?
Maybe we can tune the cPanel to work not with local email server but with external so endusers won't experienced any problem?
You see: this issue is very interesting. In future I'd like to shift all mySQL work to another server also.

Did you have any success so far by splitting the mail and webserver??
