/cpanel Doesn't Work

when I goto any of the accounts under my WHM with the "/cpanel" subdir to access the cpanel, I get a 404. My previous experience was that I could access cpanel that way. I have seen options in the tweak menu for this but after messing with them for several minutes I cannot seem to get this to work.
