    Default cpanel/email/forwarding

    heya gang....hope all is well

question...on a clinets side cpanel, if they make an email and have it forward to wherever, is there a way to trash all the email on that account without logging into it and doing it manually?

    many thanks

Default I asked this of IPOWERWEB, you you they?

I had this problem at Ipowerweb. I have another pop account with my ISP so I did not want to log into pop accounts (using my mail software or the webmail) I just wanted to have mail forwarded, without it clogging up my webspace.

I asked Ipower web if this is possible. They said no. And then they told me the answer....

You delete the pop account but keep the forwarder. That way you can forward without mail piling up.

Now why didn't I think of that. It should be mentioned in the help.

mm....so let me see if I follow you right right

domain account on the server, and they make an email of something@domain.com

then they make the forward to there other email addy and delete the actual email account that is on server?

ok...sounds logical, I will give it a try

    many thanks

Default Is it even necessary to make the pop in the first place

As it happens I think that I did it in the order you say above but, I think that you can just create a forwarder without creating a pop account first. The two systems seem to be independent.
