Ok, beeing one of the distributers let me clarify

Cpanel costs 99.00 for a Lic. outside the NOC of the distributors, you don\'t just \"become\" a distributor, these are companies that have been envolved with the cpanel development almost from the beginning.

If you wish to get Cpanel cheaper, you need to colo with one of the companies distributing it .. peroid

And please, stop the mumbo jumbo of \"I only pay XX for plesk\" .. well then GET PLESK .. nobody owes you anything, that\'s the price for Cpanel, it\'s either take it or leave it .. furthermore, since it runs on Linux, people seem to think that .. like linux .. it shoudl be free !! (or almost) .. well boys and girls, get a reality check, this is business, an that\'s why the pricing is as is, the distributors whant you to colocate with them, not with somebody else.

That all began nearly five years ago and the buglist has been knocked down a touch....

There is only one host I recommend They are VERY friendly, SUPER cheap, and ALWAYS there for you! <MODEDIT: No ads please. You many plug your own company, but not others. >
This is the only host I have ever found that actually cares about its members. I\'m not saying there arent others, Im just saying this is the only one I have ran across. Most hosts are greedy, and don\'t give a crap about its members. As long as they get your money

Well here is my 1c worth.

Carlos did write some of the code we all use in Cpanel. He did at least 2 of the basic themes the \"iconic\" that it comes with and the graphics are his.. not sure if he is a active developer right now but he was part of the development team when they were stuck over at that VDI hunk of crap NOC. As a matter of fact ... Cpanel only caught on when the he introduced the nice new look..

I have been co-lo with Carlos for over a year. He cares about his clients

Egg Xactally!!!!! Just because an operating system is free does not mean a Control Panel has to be. Especially since people have spent thousands and thousands of hours working on it to make money. It\'s called \"business\".

I\'m a Unix Admin for OCHosting here\'s our pricing. I just noticed that we dont have pricing on their for cpanel. Give us a call, i\'m gonna go smack the designer.

Plesk = 99$ month + setup (price might be going up some)
Cpanel = $165 month + setup

Server = 1u, 733 Celeron, 64ram, 30gig(but we\'ve been getting 40\'s lately)

It\'s easy to say such a thing when you are the only one. I suggest to change the attitude because times are changing and NEW control Panels will come...
