I have a question about how the cPanel license works. I bought a one-time license thinking that it would never expire.
On several occasions now, my clients have tried to log into their panel to find a message saying that the license running on the server had expired. Not knowing exactly how to proceed, I logged into my admin interface (whm) and that fixed the problem. I didn't do anything special, I just logged in.
Does anyone know why I need to log into the whm to fix a bogus "license has expired" message on the client side? Am I missing something here? How exactly does the server try to "validate" the license???
