    Default cPanel loads very slowly

I'm having issues loading cPanel and pages within cPanel. They take a long time to load, about two minutes per page.

The webpages on the server are fine, they load in a matter of seconds. I'm on cable, so it's not a problem with my internet.

A few things load quickly, like the MySQL management and phpMyAdmin. But a lot of other things, especially when I'm adding/editing/deleted go very very slowly.

If anyone has any ideas on what I can check, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

restart stunnel and then cpanel. If that doesn't work, PM us: servertune (yahoo, MSN, AIM) or send us an email note: support@servertune.com

Sorry to sound dumb, but where do I restart stunnel and cpanel at? I can't find an option for that in WHM ...

    login to shell and type:
    # service cpanel stop
wait for 10 seconds then type:
    # service cpanel start

    or you can type:
    # reboot

OK, restarting cPanel didn't speed up the loading time.

OK, so the only pages that load slowly are the main page, and pages that load when I click to submit a form. So when I try and add on or park a domain, create a subdomain, etc. Those all take about two minutes to load.

Not much. When I go to Show CPU usage, the total is only about 2% of the CPU and memory is around 10% Any other place I should check?

    Update the resolvers in /etc/resolv.conf

Look http://tweakgeek.com/node/23 for a list of DNS servers you can use.

If the server load is low and everything seems to be right, this is usually the cause.

None of those seemed to affect cPanel at all. Was I supposed to do something after changing the file? Reboot Apache or the server or something?

Same thing. Your DC probably needs to tweak some settings. How much RAM do you have?

That sounds like way too little for a VPS. ;-)
Most recommend a minimum of 1GB for a server running VPS's.... but really at least 2GB is what you need because of the overhead from the VPS instances.
