I'm getting an error when you try and log into cpanel. http://64.40.101.19/cpanel works. http://www.cedartek.com/cpanel doesn't. Getting an internal server error. This was after the latest kernal upgraded as suggested by cpane.

The redirect cgi's in /usr/local/cpanel/base are erroring out with premature end of script headers for us on all servers.
If you had suexec disabled before, make sure it's still disabled in WHM.
That did it for me.
Thanks.
disabling suexec did it for me too... but... what about suexec now?
There is a note in Edge 10 that /cpanel/, /whm/, and /webmail/ should be working now.![]()
sorry for the newb question...Edge 10?
Steve
Just Confirmed it's not fixed in Current 12 for some reason :?
It will not be fixed in Current or Release for the next couple of days I think. The note says June 8th I believe.
It might be helpful to rebuild Apache (to fix the mod_php issue) and THEN update to the latest edge.
That's worked for me.
Security A Security hole has been discovered in the cPanel's suexec/mod_php handlers. To resolve the problem:
Update apache using easyapache, or the WHM's apache builder by clicking here.
Once apache is updated, you should then update to cPanel 9.4.0 build 10 or later by clicking here. (This is now required as the easyapache update will break /cpanel, and other urls.)
* RELEASE and STABLE users should wait until Tuesday June 8th (or when this notice is removed) to upgrade cPanel.
** 9.4.0 Builds 1-9 have various problems. It is strongly recommended that you do not use these builds.
CPanel releases multiple "versions" of it's software. There are the "Release", "Current", and "Edge" versions. You can read more about them by clicking on "Update Config" under the Server Setup portion of your WHM. You can select the "Edge" release to get the just-released updates that should fix this. But remember... rebuild Apache first before you do this. You have to rebuild Apache FIRST, and THEN upgrade CPanel itself.Originally posted by mrhost

I am waiting for a STABLE version with fixed /cpanel /whm /webmail. Does anybody have an idea when a new STABLE version of cPanel will be available ?
same issues...same response....waiting
Run /scripts/easyapache again then upgrade to edge or current and it should work fine. Cpanel staff have said that a stable/release will be out later today though no time was given. If you wait those releases should fix the problem. If you don't want to wait edge will.

Ah, okay...just wasn't familiar with that term: Edge. Oh, and thanks for the info on this particular issue. Disabling suexec as a temporary measure worked well enough to get us through the night.CPanel releases multiple "versions" of it's software. There are the "Release", "Current", and "Edge" versions.
Thanks,
