I noticed recently that while the database backups are being run from Cpanel, the site using that database can't read it until the backup has finished thus the site won't work. Only noticed this a couple of weeks back so guessing it might be a new feature / glitch possibly in MySQL itself...?

In our case we download daily MySQL backups from about 120 sites via the Cpanel DB Backup URL (using Getright to automate names), but it's a pain when the larger thus more popular sites just can't do anything until the backup finishes.

Anyone know a way around this so we can continue to read/write...?
