    Arrow cpanel not restarting

for the past two nights, cpanel has died over the middle of the night (while sleeping go figure) and I had to manually restart it.

    Three questions...

    1) Where are the error log files for cPanel errors?
    2) What do i do?

    Thanks in advanced.

The cPanel error log is in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log and sometimes also may log to /var/log/messages if there's a stunnel problem, for example.

you can find the cpanel logs at

/usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log unless you have selected the option in WHM >> tweak settings >> system

Display Errors in cpanel instead of / usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log

about your issue you have try an update of the cpanel

using the current "release" version. Which is 82.

/var/log/messages is very long..... and in the error_log file there is nothing.

    cPanel/Enkompass Access Level

    Root Administrator

    Default

    grep cpanel /var/log/messages

will give you all reference to cpanel. So you can dig out the error easily.
