Cpanel Password Change Problem

Hi,

Has anyone seen this problem before when a client tries changing his/her password via Cpanel?

"There was an error manipulating the password file."

Any pointers appreciated.

This means the shadow file is corrupted or the entry for this suer in the shadow is having a problem.

Suggestion...
Check /etc/shadow, /etc/group and /etc/passwd for all the entries for intact. Set it manually and then try resetting from Cpanel.;

Should resolve this problem.
