Cpanel Password Modification

[schumilux]

We can't change passwords from cpanel on 1 server.
The typical problems ( /usr/bin/passwd - s flag ) have been
checked and are OK.
Modification from WHM is still working.
Would be very thankful for any hint.

Hi,

Its seems like the problem with passwd binary file (/usr/bin/passwd)

solution:
======
To check whether the file permission is 4511
if not ..change to

chmod 4511 /usr/bin/passwd

What errors does cPanel report when attempting to change the password?

No errors at all, if you click on the "detail" link, only an empty window will open.

Typically, when you can't get a satisfactory response from the user community, I recommend submitting a support ticket to your cPanel Licensing Provider so they can provide assistance.
