cpanel.tmp file in users /tmp folder

A file in one of my users /tmp folder is taking up 2 gigs. It's cpanel.tmp with numbers and letters after it.

I'm wondering what purpose it serves, and if its safe to delete it without causing any damage to the users account. It would make sense to me that it can be deleted since its in the tmp folder, but I wanted to double check to make sure since this is a very important account on our server.

Generally, /tmp folder contains the files for stats like AwStats, Analog etc.
