cpanel update brought the server down

Last night the automatic update of STABLE
WHM 9.9.8 cPanel 9.9.8-S16 Fedora x86_64 - WHM X v3.1.0
broght my server down.

I can't find any errors in the logs, cron shows that upcp started at 3:41 am and then everything dies. Here's tha last entry in /var/log/messages before restarting:

Now I'm afraid to uopdate!
