cPanel Update stuck and can't do anything

    Exclamation cPanel Update stuck and can't do anything

    My sever has been working just fine, however, today I logged in to make sure cPanel is up to date - but the utility does not work.

    When I click on Upgrade to Latest Verison - it doesn't even begin... The graphic progress bar is running but nothing happens what so ever.

    Also, when trying to click on other modules within cPanel like (/cgi/cpaddons_report.pl) or any other link that ends in .pl - I get an option to download the file instead of server parsing the script...

    Seems Perl is screwed up - but how do I fix it?

    Yes, perl is screwed up. Download Perl 5.8.8 again and install it.

    Try:

    /scripts/checkperlmodules


    You can also reinstall the specific modules that are missing, i.e:

    /scripts/perlinstaller HTTP:ate

    I would download the perl 5.8.8. installed from later2.cpanel.net and reinstall perl.
