Default cPanel update is taking a lot of time (2+ hours)

    Hello all!

I'm updating my cPanel installation (it's my first update in years).

I started two hours ago and, in my browser window I can see a progress bar with "20%" and a popup (or similar) indicating "Updating MySQL server".

Is it possible that the process have finished?. The last information I read in screen is:

Restoring compiler permissions...Compilers are enabled for unprivileged users.
    ...Done
    Repairing mysql......Done
    Optimizing Databases......Done

I don't see any upcp process running in my machine.

Is it possible that the process continue running?. Could it be secure stop the process? Could I check if the process is finished?

Before start updating I read, in the cPanel page:
    cPanel 11.24.4-R33609 - WHM 11.24.2 - X 3.9

    Now:
    WHM 11.28.52

    Thanks in advance,
    Carlos.

    Should not take that long.

Scroll up do you see a password box ? Maybe a security token issue and its waiting for the password to be entered.

No, I don't see any password box. Just a log of actions taken and a "Updating MySQL server" message.

(My MySQL server version is now 5.0.67, if it helps):
Server version: 5.0.67-community MySQL Community Edition (GPL)

    Thank you for your reply.

The progress bar continues indicating 20%. I think that the best action will be stop the process (stop the webpage load really, since I think that the process finished a lot of time ago).

No. I think that the process has finished. But the webpage shows a permanent 20% :|

I think I will stop it.

    Thank you very much!

Weird, it updates pretty fast for me. I would leave it for a night to see if something happens. I may be wrong, but I think stopping the update may corrupt cpanel.

Before stopping the cPanel update process, especially while it is reporting itself as doing something like updating MySQL, please submit a ticket so we can log in and determine if it is truly stuck and, if so, why. Stopping something like a MySQL update in progress could cause data loss.
