cpanel updating via WHM

I just installed KISS firewall.

and then tried to update cpanel via WHM.

whenever I try this, it just hangs when it gets to:

zlib-devel is current (1.1.4-8.7x), no action needed.


Am I missing a port that needs to be open in the firewall or an IP?

Also - I was unable to update apache via WHM. Though was able to update to 1.3.29 by running easyapache in SSH.

Can't get it update in WHM to try to upgrade to php 4.3.4

what do you think I'm doing wrong?

- lastly - I'm noticing timeouts when it tries to connect to rsync.cpanel.net *I think that's the addy....*
