cPanel Upgrade causing Permission Problems

Whenever cPanel is upgraded on any of our servers, we experience a few permission problems with the tmp directory. This then causes other problems with MySQL, PHP sessions, PHP uploads, the list goes on...

It's easily sorted, but it would be even easier if the problem didn't occur in the first place...everytime cPanel is upgraded.

I'd greatly appreciate any solutions people may have, or, if it is a problem with cPanel itself, that the developers could look into the issue.

If you have a reproducable problem, you need to log a support ticket and/or create a bugzilla entry. That said, I've not seen any problems caused when /tmp is correctly configured. Are you sure that /tmp has the correct permissions:

ls -lad /tmp

It should be chmod 1777
