    Default cPanel will not open

    A couple of weeks ago I upgraded WHM/cPanel, and ever since I cannot get cPanel to open. I get a "page cannot be displayed" error whenever I try.

    I have since manually reinstalled, updated to the latest version, rebooted the server, etc, etc, etc and still no joy.

    Can you login and type /scripts/upcp ?
    Try that in an ssh session.

    /etc/rc.d/init.d/portsentry stop
    /etc/rc.d/init.d/cpanel3 restart

    So is it running now ?

    Try making sure this is in /var/cpanel/cpanel.config :

    port=2082

    nope, still not running.

    I added the port, got a "no value for myname"

    forced a value for that, got a "no engine" error.

    Is there a way I can look at a valid cpanel.config file to get the info I need?
