    Default cpaneld - serving IP

    Hi,

I would like to know why sometimes it shows
    cpaneld - serving 127.0.0.1
    but sometimes, it shows
    cpaneld - serving 24.200.x.x

    x is censorship

What i want to know is the difference between the two of them... A user connects to cpanel and are listed with 127.0.0.1... two minutes later, another user connects and he is connected as his own ISP ip...

Thanks for your help, i'm a bit confused with this

no, it cannot be a monitoring because it's when a user logs in. Also, the process is owned by the users...

I'd guess the 127.0.0.1 ones are people connecting to the secure ports (2083 + 2087 over https) - when they do this, they actually connect to the SSL system "stunnel" which then connects to the unsecured ports to read off the information (saves cPanel coding the SSL portion into the core cPanel code).

one user is logging in via port 2082
the other is using stunnel on port 2083 hence the 127.0.0.1

edit looks like two of us posted the same answer at the same time
