Default cpanellogd consuming 95%+ of CPU

The cpanellogd process on one of our servers has been consuming 95%+ of the CPU for the last 24 hours. Cpanel support says it is because we have large log files, but we have cpanel setup the delete log files after each run, and the domlogs directory is only 200 meg. Restarting cpanel does not fix the problem.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

    Thanks
    Mike

How to reduce the size of the log?
Just remove the log of /home/user/tmp/xxx/*.log directly?

We just waited a couple hours and the CPU usage finally went down.
