Default cpbackup just has directories - not tar.gz files

I have a second hard drive on a system that was setup by someone else as a backup drive for Cpanel, and in the cpbackup directory there are directories of all the accounts but it's backups of the accounts in raw form... meaning they were not packaged up and tar'd. Trying to do a restore it doesn't show any usernames to restore.

    What caused this?

Check to see if your backups are set to incremental. Incremental backups are not tar.gz'd

what had happened is we took the /backup drive from one machine and put it in another to restore the accounts, so apparantly the first machine was set to incremental.

is there a way to automate the restore procedure on incremental backups ?
