Default cpbackup taking a long time

On one particular server I have around 900 small domains totaling about 7.5 Gigs of space. latley it has been taking cpbackup 12 hours or so to complete. Normal load avergae on the server are around .75-1.0, but with cpbackup running so long it is having an adverse effect on server load during the day. DMA is running on all my partitions, and my backups are stored on a seperate drive. does anoyone know of something that maybe slowing down my cpbackup? I have daily, weekly and monthly backups enabled. Will cpanel run the backup process twice if weekly and daily backups are performed on the same day?

I'm having the same problem. It isn't an issue with HD speed or local network speed. (Since i'm backing up to nfs)

It just takes FOREVER. It runs all day and night....

If I manually copy a file over to the nfs server, it's as fast as the internal gigabit network to the fileserver will go.

Other tools such as bacula run fine. It's just the pkgacct script that has started taking hours and hours for even a 1gb account.
