    Default cphulk and apf

    Hello,

I want to try something I am not good at - scripting

I was thinking that I would like to try to pipe the cphulk emails, and grab the IP, then add it to a text file so that APF can use it across all my servers.

What I first realized is that the script needs to do is look for the string:

Large number of attempts from this IP:

And grab the IP right after it. Then appending it to a text part is easy for me.

I understand how to pipe, but I am curious if anyone can give me a tip or pointer as to how to grab the string and just the IP part. I will in the meantime be reading up on php

    Thanks for any ideas!

You can get the ips right from the cphulk mysql database, that is probably easier.
