    Default Cpop issues again!!

    Why does Cpanel have to mess with pop3 again? Some of our users are pissed off that their getting the following;

    Task 'user@domain.com - Sending and Receiving' reported error
    (0x8004210B) : 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the
    sending (SMTP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact
    your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

    We went though this months ago. Now all of a sudden again!

    On top of that, two sites on our server are getting duplicate msgs sent to them. 8 in a row. WTF?

    WHM 8.6.0 cPanel 8.6.0-E20

    Did you do any research on that error code? According to Microsoft it's an issue with Outlook :http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=827349

    If it was an issue with cppop wouldn't we all have this problem?

    Actually it probably has something to do with the SMTP server since its an SMTP error.

    Excuse me. Maybe you would like to log in here and find out why two sites are getting this all of a sudden. Or it is right that sites are getting 8+ duplicate emails sent to their site from the same user and the exact time etc. Please explain it!

    We have had several Outlook users complain they can't check mail without having to restart the client. When I have seen this complaint I have noticed cpop using 99% of all processor resources.

    Exactly! Curious Too has no idea what his talking about. Besides, Cpanel has been working on Cpop and i suspect there are issues with it. Check the changelog!

    Same problem from time to time, very irritating and makes some customers very angry. Restarting it makes it work fine again.
