    Default CPpop problem

About once a week my users receive the following error in their email client software:

ERR Sorry cannot find an owner for the domain (theirdomain.com)

It results in their software re-prompting them for the POP3 password (the same one they already had stored in the email application).

It's really starting to get annoying. Anyone have any thoughts. This re-prompting of password entry happens on Eudora, Outlook Express, Evolution on Linux and more.

    Thanks,

No one else is having this problem?!?! It's happening on two out of two servers for us.

    CHECK MY SIG

Hey, seriously though, it just sounds like your /etc/userdomains file is getting torched by some rogue process. Run /scripts/updateuserdomains , and then /scripts/mailperm once that is done.

the cppop error you reported seems entirely related to userdomains or localdomains being vaporized

It seems in some way /etc/userdomains dissappears.

    /scripts/updateuserdomains repairs it.

I don't know if I'm talking about the same issue but as of a couple of days ago we started getting prompted several times per day for user/pass when outlook checks the popmail. This info, the user/pass, is checked to be remembered...

    Any thoughts?

I did type /scripts/updateuserdomains into the root but am not sure if it's done anything. I'm still waiting to see if we'll get the prompts...
