    Default critical issue when config eth3

    Hello

    we have eth0 and eth1 configured

    Now we have add new netword card and need to use eth3 with Private IP

    But, when we restart network we cannot access to server .. nobody can reach the server

    We connect it with kvm and see that for any connection print on screen

    martian source **.**.255.229 from **.**.4.154 on dev eth0
    ll header: 00:1d:09:68:53:ce:00:18:74:2e:fd:00:08:a

    first ip is server ip set on eth0 and second ip is ip of our office

    eth3 setting:

    # Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5709 Gigabit Ethernet
    DEVICE=eth3
    ONBOOT=no
    #BOOTPROTO=dhcp
    HWADDR=00:10:18:4a:94:42

    IPADDR=192.168.0.101
    NETMASK=255.255.255.0
    GATEWAY=192.168.0.100

    ---

    Why when restart network system network crash ?
    and why if eth0 is on other netword card.. ?

    Thanks

    Default Critical Issue with Eth3

    Hello,

    I do apologize for your problem, however this would be a hardware setup problem. I would advise you speak with your datacenter on this matter as they would be able to provide better support.

    Thank you,
    Matthew Curry

    I would have to look at your system to tell you more specifically what is going on but one obvious problem I see in what you posted is that you are using "255.255.255.0" as your netmask for the internal network address.

    I would strongly advise using a different netmask when running multiple network interfaces as your computer will have difficulty differentiating the separate networks when the netmask is identical for both internal and external networks

    Hello

    I don't think is hardware issue because there is also with 1st network card on the server.

    Think there is any problem with loopback prodecure.. or similar

    We have try same config on same server series with only centos (without cpanel) and work fine :/

    Any suggest ?

    Tx

    So, better set with same netmask of eth0 and eth1 ?
