    Default Cron Job Timing Question....

I'm a little curious when cron jobs are set at intervals how CentOS would determine what the start day was....

What I'm trying to do is have a 10 day cron job ran every day at say around.... 8PM EST. My server time zone is set as -500 EST.

If I were to add my cronjob at 8PM EST on the dot today, would it be ran 10 days from now at 8PM EST or be ran 10 days from some internal start time determined on the server?

What's your cron entry look like? IOW, how are you scheduling it?

If you put */10 for the days, it'll run every month on the 10th, 20th, and 30th, except February.
If you put 3,13,23 for the days, it'll run the 3rd, 13th, and 23rd of every month.

I don't think there is a way to schedule it to go every 10th day from when it starts.
