    Default cron jobs sending me messages

    Every night I get the following message from cron. Is it bad? Am I supposed to get this message every night?

    I get them from all of our servers.

    I think it's normal and part of cpanel's new mail forward system.

    If you do not want to receive these emails, simply change this cron line:

    X X * * * /scripts/upcp

    to

    X X * * * /scripts/upcp >/dev/null 2>&1

    I dont suggest sending this message to the bit-bucket. No matter what it says, even if its the same every night, be sure to read it and if it looks odd in any way SAVE IT.

    That message could be the difference between a working or dead system when you check your server every morning.

    I agree. I've been getting them ever since my first server over a year ago. I just give them a quick look and delete if it appears ok.
